1: Amsterdam PRIDE!!!

Amsterdam is proud to be one of the most tolerant and liberal cities in the world. So what better city to celebrate and show your support for Pride week. Amsterdam’s Pride celebrations kick off in late July and continue into early August. They’ve conclude with an enormous boat parade that trails through the city’s historic canal belt. Many other events related to Pride take place in Amsterdam before the mammoth finales, including drag contests, and solidarity marches.

2: Grachtenfestival (Canal Festival)

What a romantic way to spend the evening. Wine and cheese on the edge of a canal, listening to world-class classical music. Every year in mid-August hundreds of classical music concerts are held on the canal belt. It is an annual, ten day festival called Grachtenfestival. Many of the performances take place on custom-built stages that are mounted onto barges, and set afloat on the city’s canals. Others are orchestrated inside prestigious concert halls like de Concertgebouw.

3: Jordaan Festival

Another great thing thats on in Amsterdam in August is the Jordaan Fesitval! Without a doubt, the Jordaan is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Amsterdam. After your visit to the Anne Frank House, or your private walking tour of the Jewish Cultural Quarter with us, why not go to the festival! As its name suggests this annual folk music festival celebrates the neighborhood’s heritage and culture. The festival started over 40 years ago and mainly revolves around forlorn Amsterdam-style crooning and other variants of traditional Dutch folk music.

4:Visit The Van Gogh Museum
